Azlant was the first great human empire on the lost planet of Golarion in the Pact Worlds system, but was destroyed by a massive cataclysm long before the Gap. Before this happened, however, a group of Azlanti colonists traveled through a magical portal to the distant planet of New Thespera and were stranded there. Over the course of thousands of years, the descendants of these colonists conquered at first the other planets in their solar system and eventually neighboring systems to establish the Azlanti Star Empire.1
