Aratrosim is the largest and farthest moon of Aratros, a small gas giant orbiting a young yellow dwarf star in the Arat system.1
Geography
Aratrosim consists of a rocky core and extensive oceans warmed by geothermal heat, covered by an icy crust. Due to the temperature differences, cryovolcanoes are common. Their ejecta quickly freeze in the cold air and are charged with magic by a hidden portal to the Plane of Water, which has facilitated the evolution of element-touched creatures.1
History
Aratrosim, Aratros and the Arat system were all named after Aratrasi, the vainglorious captain of the starship who discovered charted the solar system to the Pact Worlds.1
