Aerial devil
Aerial devils are a species of predatory birds capable of eating small arms fire.1
Appearance
Aerial devils possess leathery wings and strong hooked beaks, and can fly at incredible speeds due to their aerodynamic shape. The typical aerial devil is 3 feet long and weighs 10 pounds.1
Ecology
Aerial devils are hypercarnivores and require a large number of calories. They are aggressive toward anyone perceived to be a threat to their nests, and are often seen as dangerous pests by loggers. Aerial devils attack in small groups, taking turns tearing into prey until they fall.1
Aerial devils are capable of picking bullets out of the air and crushing them. It is unknown when they developed this ability; scientists who study them tend to lose digits and gain scars.1
Habitat
Aerial devils build nests high up in cold or temperate forests, like on Marata.1
Society
Aerial devils can be tamed and trained to do minor tricks, like picking bullets out of the air when commanded, if kept well-fed. Some fighter pilots paint aerial devils on their ships to pay respect to these creatures.1
