Xul Karanith

Xul Karanith is a ruined sceaduinar city in the Negative Energy Plane. Explorers note that the structures of negative energy are heavily damaged but have yet to crumble into dust. The massive rock on which the city is built is crisscrossed with fissures, but somehow keeps its shape, without fragmenting in different directions. While no one can certainly say what happened to Xul Karanith (and the sceaduinars are not telling outsiders, if they do know), the trace amounts of positive energy detected in the massive crater in the city centre suggest that the city was attacked long ago by denizens of the Positive Energy Plane. According to sceaduinar legends, five stable portals set in a shining crystal monument connect Xul Karanith to different planets on the Material Plane, far beyond other mortals' reach, which were settled by sceaduinars in the distant past. Many sceaduinars are interested in reclaiming the ruins, reconnecting with their cousins, launching full-scale assaults on the Material Plane, and even finding the descendants of Xul Karanith's ancient ruler Gezulscendrian .
