The Possibility Timer is an ancient artifact created on Golarion from the time of Azlant . It allows users to manipulate time, and is currently in the possession of the dragon Kellixtrian.

Appearance

The Possibility Timer is a crystalline hourglass filled with sands of time which changes size to match the owner.

Function

Inverting the Possibility Timer allows the owner to activate one of the following effects:

• Increasing or decreasing the speed of a creature
• Shunting a target forward or backward in time
• Freezing time for everyone but the owner
• Travelling into the past of up to seven people; significant events in the past cannot be altered, but the targets' acquaintances can be coaxed to take different actions that affect their lives, causing the targets to find themselves in an inherently wrong alternate reality with their memories intact (this can only be done once per point in the target's timeline)

When thrown into a black hole, the Possibility Timer instead reappears somewhere else in the galaxy when it passes the event horizon. If thrown into the same black hole three times, it is destroyed.
