The Palace of Boundless Elevation is a moon orbiting a planet located in the Shadow Plane reflection of the Vast. It is home to the powerful and alien velstrac Quareez, a servant of Anyalaritus, who can control non-living material on the Palace of Boundless Elevation at a microscopic level. To the velstracs, petitioners and captives living on the planet below, the Palace of Boundless Elevation resembles a glowing, mutilated face constantly glaring at them. The greatest petitioners and captives, those most willing to become velstracs, are collected by Quareez and transformed into velstracs according to methods known to the Mouths of Anyalaritus.1
