Old Rovagug is a large black hole located at the center of Desna's Path, the galaxy that contains the Pact Worlds system. It was named by the inhabitants of the pre-Gap Pact Worlds after the god of destruction, Rovagug. The incredible gravity it generates keeps the stars of Desna's Path orbiting around it. A large accretion disk spins around Old Rovagug that pulls in the many stars and other astronomical objects that are densely arranged near the galatic center, and the heat it generates through friction leads to the formation of nearby stars and nebulae.1

Whiskers of the Sun-Eater

Unusually for a black hole, Old Rovagug creates entropic tendrils that radiate out up to a light-year from it. These tendrils seem to ignore physics and last for thousands of years, whipping out like solar flares. They are invisible to normal sight and can generally only be perceived by the empty spaces they leave behind, much like Old Rovagug itself. They occur most often along the accretion disk and have been named the Whiskers of the Sun-Eater.1

Inhabitants

The time dilation created by Old Rovagug's massive gravity combined with the risk of being pulled past its event horizon has kept any normal life from existing in its immediate stellar neighborhood. As Old Rovagug constantly opens millions of rifts to the Negative Energy Plane, however, incorporeal undead such as sceaduinars and darvakkas break through on occasion and terrorize nearby worlds before themselves succumbing to the black hole. In addition to these, draeliks have also learned how to survive in the nearby Kurzack Nebula.1
