Hybrid item

A hybrid item requires both magic and technology to function although not necessary in equal measure. Because of its dual nature, hybrid items can be manipulated by effects and powers that interact with both magic and technology.1

Charges

Some hybrid items are limited to a certain number of charges or uses before they cease to function. Unlike technological items, they cannot be recharged using generators or batteries, but either refresh each day on their own or never refresh and no longer function as originally designed after the charges are depleted.1

Wearing hybrid items

When worn, hybrid items suffer from the same limitation as magic items, in which no more than two hybrid or magic items can be worn on the same body part at the same time.1

Common hybrid items

Examples of the most common hybrid items found throughout the Pact Worlds system and beyond include Starstone compasses, mindlink circlets, and efficient bandoliers.1
