The Fastness of the Ordered Mind is a cluster of linked monasteries located deep in the frozen Darkside of Verces. It is home to the Ascetics of Nar, one of the oldest monastic orders in the Pact Worlds system, who see the inherent law of the cosmos within the ice. In the deepest parts of the Fastness are whole neural networks, joining those monks who lost all of their limbs to frostbite when meditating in the cold waste. The Fastness receives numerous visitng mystics and technomancers who seek an audience with the monks, and warriors who wish to learn their transcendence of pain.
