Weydan, the Endless Horizon, is a deity of equality, exploration, and freedom who frequently splinters himself into mortal manifestations known as avatars who directly spread his teachings across the Material Plane.1

Avatars

Weydan's avatars can appear as a member of any species as a means of teaching mortals about equality and the inherent worth of each individual, values he considers fundamental to the growth and well-being of any society. By taking the form of any kind of mortal — from powerful to downtrodden, beautiful to grotesque — Weydan promotes the idea that any creature, even a god, could be within anyone one encounters. These avatars give Weydan a unique, carefree perspective among omniscient immortals, in that he gets to experience existance from a limited, mortal perspective. Sometimes these avatars reveal their true nature in order to protect the innocent or become leaders in a crisis, but most of the time they quietly live our their mortal lives exploring the multiverse until death takes them.1

Dogma

Unlike the goddess Desna, who promotes travel for travel's sake, Weydan enjoys exploration for a purpose or with a goal in mind and draws pleasure from any and every discovery his followers make. Discovery of the unknown is a sacred process that reveals as much about the traveler as it does about what is being discovered. Every discovery is important, no matter how small. He also promotes freedom from oppression and equal treatment among all species, and opposes any system (such as slavery) that elevates someone at the expense of another. This often puts him in opposition to Abadar's capitalist teachings.1

Church

As can be expected given his teachings, Weydan's church is egalitarian and only has a limited hierarchy. His temples can be found on both active starships and decommissioned hulks. He is popular among explorers, Starfinders, socialists, gnostics, and colonists settling on unexplored planets. Many of his worshipers are humans and androids (especially those engaged in fighting against oppression), and he is also popular among younger kasathas who balk at their culture's strict rules. Some shirrens appreciate his support for the downtrodden as well. In the Pact Worlds system, his followers can most commonly be found in the Diaspora and the planet Verces along with Absalom Station and the worldship Idari.1
