Magefire Assault

The Magefire Assault was an attack launched by the Bone Sages of Eox on Absalom Station in 7 AG. It ended with the Eoxian forces defeated by the space station's formidable defenses.

History

This failed attack on Absalom Station had longer-ranging reprocussions. Several of the Eoxian admirals who had fought in this conflict held a grudge against the living inhabitants of the Golarion System. Decades later, when the Absalom Pact was signed in 41 AG creating a unified (if loosely structured) system-wide confederation, these admirals refused to subordinate their ships to outside control. Remembering their defeat at the hands of "soft and fragile" living creatures, they staged an unsuccessful coup against their own Bone Sage government, and eventually fled the system to form the Corpse Fleet.
