Telepathy
Telepathy is a form of communication that enables the instantaneous transmission and receiving of information between the mind of a sender and the mind (or minds) of a receiver (or receivers). Telepathy is generally limited by distance, and a person must be capable of performing telepathy to send a message but not to receive it. Additionally, transmission is only possible to those whose minds are capable of language or who also have telepathy. Transmission to multiple individuals at the same time is possible, but such communication is just as difficult as speaking and listening to multiple spoken conversations at the same time.1
Sources of telepathy
A person can have telepathy due to their species (such as lashuntas and shirrens),23 or due to magic.4
Limited telepathy
Limited telepathy is a form of telepathy that only is intelligible to the receiver if both parties share a common language.1 The inherent telepathy possessed by lashuntas and shirrens is such a limited telepathy.23
