Divination
More information about this subject might be available on PathfinderWiki. |
Divination is one of the eight schools of magic. It allows one to discover forgotten secrets, discern the future, find what is hidden, and counter deceptive magic. Nearly all attempts to discover information about the causes of the Gap or what happened during it inevitably fail.1 Some popular divination spells include augury,2 contact other plane,3 and detect magic.4
Scrying
Some divination magic creates a magical sensor that sends you information while its effect lasts; this is known as scrying. Most scrying sensors have the same sensory capabilities as the caster does in a natural state, unmodified by technology or other magic. The sensor is independent and functions even if you have been blinded or your senses have otherwise been impaired. It is difficult but not impossible to detect a scrying sensor, and they can be blocked by lead sheeting, force fields, or magical protection.5 Arcane eye is an example of a scrying spell.2
