Aeon stone
More information about this subject might be available on PathfinderWiki. |
Aeon stones are magical cut gemstones that levitate in a spinning manner around the head (or equivalent for headless species) of its user. They grant various magical benefits, depending on the shape and colour of the stone, and all aeon stones of similar shape and colour have the same magical properties. The Azlanti Star Empire is the primary manufacturer and user of these stones, but the common types of aeon stones are also sold in many major settlements.1
Usage
Normally, an aeon stone must be free to orbit the user's head at a distance between 3 inches and 3 feet to function and always spins outside of any clothing or armor that is worn. The Azlanti Star Empire has devised unique ways of using aeon stones, including housing them within suits of Aeon Guard (AG) battle dress that allow the individual soldiers to benefit from the stone's abilities as if it was orbiting their head, or implanting them within adjutant robots, where they do not serve their normal functions but provide the robots with magical protection. Some AG weapons can be enhanced with aeon stones, allowing them to be charged up for a limited amount of shots per day.234
