Medicine
Medicine is the science of understanding how an organism functions, generally (but not exclusively) for the treatment of wounds and other ailments for the purpose of healing an organism. Medicine is used not only to treat injuries to the body, but also to cure diseases, and counteract the harmful effects of poisons, drugs, or other afflictions.1
Practitioners
Medical training is specialized and carried out by a wide variety of skilled practioners including doctors, surgeons, or those simply trained in first aid.12
Medical technology
Many medical devices have been developed to assist a medical practitioner or take over their function entirely. These include relatively simple devices such as medpatches and sprayflesh to more complex ones such as medical labs.34
