Kalsarsa is the largest city and the commercial hub of Arshalin, located in the shadow of the worldshard known as Sheltering Hand.1
Inhabitants
Kalsarsa is respected by most ilthisarians as a holy city, and each try to visit it at least once in their lives. Every 80 days, the residents engineer a light display, known as the Time of Brightness and Dimness, where the colours and intensities of the lights in the city are varied. This event is festival, holy day, and tourist attraction all at once.1
Kalsarsa is also the site of spaceports controlled by various ilthisarian firms that compete against each other for alien visitors. Ilthisarian merchants are willing to both flatter visitors and impound their starships to gain an advantage in deals.1
