Midios is the largest city and only spaceport of the planet Silselrik, named after the megalodorid on which it is built. In order to protect Midios from the heat of starship engines, the landing pads are built on heavily reinforced platforms; the megalodorid itself greatly enjoys the immense energy released from a launch. It is the only selamid megadoplex with a community of offworlders, whose trade opportunities have made Midios the settlement with the densest population on Silselrik.
