Azlanti (human ethnicity)

The Azlanti are a human ethnicity that rule the Azlanti Star Empire. They originated pre-Gap on the lost planet Golarion in the Pact Worlds system before colonizing the world of New Thespera.

History

Thousands of years before the present, the Azlanti ruled the first great human empire of Azlant on the planet Golarion. Highly skilled in magic, the Azlanti explored and colonized numerous planets beyond their own using portals. While most of these colonies failed, the one on New Thespera succeeded after the colonists were stranded there after the portal that had brought them there failed. This inadvertantly helped them escape the fate of their brethren on Golarion, where a massive cataclysm destroyed their nation. Using their talent for magic and technology, the Azlanti eventually came to dominate that world and over time even conquered nearby worlds and nearby solar systems.
