Work at Paizo

In 2018, Amanda was named Managing Developer for the Starfinder RPG to manage the Starfinder Organized Play developer, Starfinder Adventure Path developers, Starfinder senior developer, and Starfinder lead designer, in addition to developing and creating content for the game. Amanda is a co-creator of the Starfinder RPG and was a member of its core design team.[3]

Freelance work

Leaving Paizo

On July 7, 2020, Paizo announced that Amanda was leaving Paizo to rejoin Kobold Press as Editorial Director. Adam Daigle led a long list of valedictory well-wishers from Paizo, which was published in the Paizo Blog.[2]

Background

In addition to waxing nerdy about fantasy worldbuilding traditions and theory, Amanda has spoken extensively about intersectional feminism in relation to gaming.
